The Suya burger – a Zoe Adjonyoh collaboration

We are kicking off the first of our 2018 female chef burger collaborations with the celebrated food writer and chef Zoe Adjonyoh.
Zoe has become a leading voice of Ghanaian cuisine; her debut cookbook, Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen, was a publishing highlight of 2017, with her Pop Brixton residency of the same name a popular foodie destination.

Zoe’s limited-edition Suya Burger for Haché takes its influence from West African spices and flavours, and will be found across all six restaurants from 6th March, Ghanaian Independence Day, running until 15th April

The Suya Burger uses Haché’s classic 6oz prime hachéd steak burger, marinated in Suya, a peanut and cayenne pepper spice mix popular in Ghanaian street-food. The burger is topped with lettuce, tomato, avocado, Zoe’s spicy slaw, peanut sauce with a kick, Zoe’s famous hot pepper shito mayo, all loaded in a lightly toasted brioche bun.

£1 from the sale of each burger will be donated to KickStart Ghana, a UK-based charity that aims to help the people of Ghana fulfil their potential and have every opportunity to succeed, through enhancing sporting and educational opportunities in Ghana.
